The Turin Giants Appoint Previous Italy Boss the Experienced Gaffer

The Old Lady have chosen ex- Azzurri manager Spalletti to take the helm for the remainder of the campaign.

The 66-year-old takes over from his predecessor, who was dismissed after the Serie A side's defeat by Lazio recently.

Tudor had joined the club in March to replace Thiago Motta but left after seven months after an eight-game winless streak.

Under Spalletti, Napoli clinched the Serie A championship in 2022-23 prior to assuming the Italy role, after the team's failure to reach the 2022 World Cup with Mancini at the helm.

Under his guidance, they made it to Euro 2024 exiting in the last 16 stage against Switzerland.

Yet, the Italian FA let Spalletti go in June post a qualifying defeat against Norway, with the Azzurri at risk of missing out on a third consecutive World Cup.

Spalletti has also managed Inter Milan, Roma and Udinese in Serie A and secured two Russian Premier League titles with Zenit St Petersburg.

Massimo Brambilla took interim charge of Juventus for their 3-1 win against Udinese on Wednesday moving them to seventh position in the league - trailing leaders Napoli by six points after nine matches.

In the Champions League, they sit 25th in the league phase, having lost once and drawn twice in their opening three matches.
